Any high school senior may audition for the scholarships. You DO NOT have to be a resident of St. Clair Shores. You MUST call by February 15th to be included in the auditions.

Our scholarship contestants are judged on a points system. They must meet a minimum amount of points on the judging system in the four top requirements:
Preparation, Presentation, Intonation, and Diction.

Scholarship Winners 2015-2016
 Bethany Moses - First Place
Bethany Moses attends Dakota High School and has an extensive high school career.  She is in NHS, Show Choir, Marching Band, Jazz Band, Women's Varsity Choir, Mixed Varsity Choir, Wind Ensemble and Symphinic Band.  She has also been in numerous musicals at Dakota HIgh School.  Bethany is also a Recreation Director at Vacation Bible School and a Campfire Director at her church summer camp.
Miss Moses hopes to earn a degree in either music theater or music education.  She will attend Macomb Community College.
Bethany's personal life goal is to live her life to the fullest and not be afraid to take some risks.
Jacob Hill - Second Place
Jacob Hill attends Dakota High School.  He is in Show Choir, Solo Ensemble, A Capella, and has been in numerous musicals at Dakota High School.
Mr. Hill plans on attending Western Michigan University and majoring in Music Education with a minor in vocal performance.  He hopes to become a choir director and teach at the college level.
Jacob's personal life goal is to one day perform in a Broadway show.
Sarah Markstrom - Third Place
Sarah Markstrom attends Lake Shore High School and is in Women's Chamber and Show Choir.  She has also been in a few high school musicals including, most recently playing the lead in Cinderella.
Miss Markstrom plans on attending Eastern Michigan University and hopes to earn a degree in Music Therapy.
Her personal life goal is to live a life full of music. Through Music Therapy she hopes to help people, possibly change someone's life for the better and to leave her mark on the world.  She hopes music will be her partner in life, helping her help others along the way.
